Christopher Weber, MD is a nationally recognized obesity medicine physician and healthcare leader. Leadership at Scale
As State Medical Director for a multi-site health-system obesity medicine and bariatric surgery service line, Dr. Weber oversees clinical, operational, and strategic leadership across hospitals and ambulatory sites — including obesity treatment pathways, GLP-1 implementation, bariatric surgery strategy, physician education, quality improvement, reimbursement, patient access, and program growth.
Clinical Practice
Dr. Weber continues to see patients in obesity medicine. Direct patient care grounds his strategic work in the everyday realities of the exam room — the workflows, coverage barriers, therapy sequencing, and clinician time that ultimately determine whether new science reaches the people who need it.
National Leadership
He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Obesity Medicine Association, on the boards of the Wisconsin Obesity Society and the Obesity Treatment Foundation, and on the editorial board of Obesity Pillars. He is a past chair of the OMA medical-surgical committee.
